I'm slightly obsessing over Nicole's underwater maternity photos.
Underwater photography is something I have been inching my way into. Honestly, it's a little terrifying to me. Did I ever mention that I drown when I was young child? None the less I still want to do this. You may have seen one of my past underwater shoots. I shot a boudoir session at the springs. I also did wedding photos in Portugal. Shooting underwater is nothing like shooting top side. Your exposures and colors are completely different than the norm. It takes time to figure out how to handle the camera your camera in a giant water proof housing. I am really happy with this last underwater maternity shoot I did. I chose the springs again since it is the clearest water. For this shoot the only thing important to me was the form of her body. The water itself wasn't what I wanted people to see so I underexposed far more than usual. This works in the water because our skin can almost glow to a camera under the water.
Here are the long awaited underwater wedding photos I have been telling you about!
When Cat and Sean asked me to photograph their elopement in Terciera, Portugal I took it as my push. My push to FINALLY buy the underwater housing I had been wanting for so very long. So without further adieu here are their photos.
Cat and Sean were so unbelievably patient and willing. After spending over an hour in the very cold Atlantic Ocean I asked them to swim over to these lava rocks for me...
So do you guys love them?
